Number 5

Did this blog title fool anyone into thinking I was making an announcement? Ha ha! No, number 5 refers to the number of times in the last three months I have had a painful, annoying, and chronic UTI. I have been on rounds of antibiotics, consumed more cranberry juice than I thought humanly possible, and still it persists. Anyone out there have any suggestions?

You're a brat Niki I just got super excited! UTI's I've only had one bad a couple years ago. I was starting to get one last week, you know you can just tell when it's starting? I found that when I feel one starting I start using the AZO Maximum Strength pills, pop a couple cranberry vitamins, and chug water like crazy. I take 3 AZO's a day, 1 cranberry in the AM & PM and do that for 2 days and it goes away.

Funny my verification word to post this is: PEEMAN

Get checked for kidney stones. One of my coworkers had the same issue- kept getting UTIs and the doctors couldn't find out why. She had 2 HUGE kidney stones blocking her ureter.

Did they culture it? If so, and the antibiotics are still not working, I definitely vote for kidney stones. Or a urologist's opinion. That's ridiculous! Hope things get better QUICKLY!

I was plagued with UTI's when I was younger. It was determined that the urethra was too small and my bladder was not draining completely when I went to the potty. Because it stayed in there I constantly had UTI's and bladder infections. A quick out patient surgery fixed the problem and I have never had an issue since.

If I were in your shoes, I would go visit a Urologist to have them do a couple of exams with the die to make sure everything is draining and all organs are functioning properly.

Oh my goodness that stinks. I have only ever had one once a long time ago so I don't have any advice but I agree with the other comments and maybe it is something else. I am really sorry that you are being plauged with them though. I hope they figure it out.
