The big weigh in

Well, it's official, my little runt finally hit 20 pounds! At his one year check up he was only 18 pounds 11 ounces, which put him in the one percentile for weight. Our pediatrician told us to feed him whatever he would eat--candy, cheesecake, butter on everything, and to try pedi-sure. We did all of that, and after a month he gained a pound and a little and although we have to keep him on the pedi-sure until 18 months, I am happy that he is gaining weight. I have to say though, that Parker has been our most expensive child by far. First he was on "liquid gold" the alimentium formula that was around $30.00 for 16 ounces, then he had to have the helmet, which cost a few thousand dollars (yeah for good insurance coverage) and now the pedi-sure that is rather pricey, too. Good thing he's cute!

I understand the pricey. I think each of my kids have been pricey for different reasons. Glad he is gaining that weight. I agree, he sure is a cutie!

ohh I totally understand the pricey things right now. Reed has to be on neutramagen and it is $20 for 12 ounces of dry formula. Darn kids, it is a good thing they are cute!
